About Lendeckel IT

Lendeckel IT has been active in Eichsfeld, Germany, for over 30 years. Originating from a recycling business for toner cartridges, the company has developed into a modern IT system house with a focus on infrastructure, IT security and managed services. The ten-strong team supports around 80 small to medium-sized customers, primarily dental practices and regional companies with up to 200 PC workstations. The focus is on companies with around 20 devices.

Lendeckel IT sees itself as a "digital janitor ” for its customers. This means: personal on-site support, reliable support and continuously developed service packages. A large proportion of the services are now offered on a monthly rental model - with almost 50% recurring revenue as a stable basis.

How did Lendeckel IT come across lywand - and why did they choose it?

Managing Director Heiko Lendeckel had had his eye on the topic of vulnerability management for a long time - but none of the solutions tested so far really fitted the bill: too expensive, too complex or technically impractical. Smaller customers in particular showed little willingness to pay high sums for selective security analyses.

It was only through discussions with industry colleagues and finally direct contact with lywand that interest was sparked. The decisive point: “I wanted to see vulnerabilities - but not just once a year.” The clear pricing model, simple integration and personal support ultimately won him over.

This was supported by a campaign with lywand, including financial support and a free month for customers to get started.

Internally, lywand was defined as a standard solution and firmly integrated into the service package. The measures resulting from the vulnerability analysis are billed on an hourly rate model. Parts of the implementation are now outsourced to specialized external service providers to relieve the internal team - especially for recurring tasks.

How is the service with lywand sold to customers - and what is the feedback?

Transparency was crucial for Lendeckel IT right from the start: customers were openly informed about the new security solution, including a moderate price adjustment. The service cannot be opted out of - anyone who works with Lendeckel IT automatically receives lywand.

The standard package includes:

  • Response times

  • Remote maintenance

  • Optional additional services such as backup, UPS, etc.

Customer feedback was overwhelmingly positive - many welcomed the new visibility of their security situation, even if some were initially surprised: "Enthusiasm and concern ” is how Heiko Lendeckel describes the initial reaction. “But that's exactly what creates trust - because we uncover things that were previously only suspected.”

What is the cooperation with lywand and Infinigate like?

Lendeckel IT praises the close, cooperative partnership with lywand. The direct line to the team is particularly appreciated: “You have people on the phone who really feel responsible - and that's not a given these days.” The personal communication at eye level, for example during on-site appointments or feedback loops, is also experienced as very positive.

The collaboration with distributor Infinigate works just as smoothly: “It just works - the way you want it to. Reliable for years.”
