Lywand signs distribution partnership with Infinigate for DACH region

Lywand, provider of automated security audits for SMEs, has entered into a sales partnership for the DACH region with value-add distributor Infinigate. With Lywand's SaaS solution, which is provided within a consumption model, the partners aim to support IT service providers as well as MSPs and MSSPs in the development of cloud-based business models by simplifying the IT security consulting process. Interested parties and Infinigate partners can learn more about the new joint offering in a webinar on 3rd and 10th May.

With Lywand, IT service providers can perform automated security audits of their customers' internal and external IT infrastructure on demand. All audit results are listed in an easy-to-understand manner, along with recommended measures and, if applicable, product recommendations. The implementation does not require any expertise and supports IT service providers in cost-effectively assessing and improving the security of small and medium-sized enterprises. This streamlines the consulting and procurement process for them and supports them in building MSP and MSSP business models.

Security scans on-demand

An advantage that Infinigate partners can now also benefit from. They gain access to the Lywand platform via the Infinigate MSP portal and can then start IT security scans for their customers as required.

The price for a performed scan is calculated according to the type of target, i.e. the examined infrastructure, as well as the largest used monthly scan volume in the respective partner level (Silver, 1-500 targets; Gold, 501-4000 targets; Platinum, 4001-10,000 targets). Billing is monthly based on usage. Through the partnership with Infinigate, the still young company Lywand is expanding its partner network and preparing for expansion into Europe.

“We stand for making IT security affordable even for small businesses and strengthening the sustainability of local IT service providers. With our highly-scalable and automated solution, they are less impacted by the IT security skills shortage and can more easily develop and drive MSP and MSSP business models,” explains Tom Haak, CEO of Lywand.

“Together with Infinigate Group, their strong market position, mature expertise and versatile service offerings, coupled with a flexible payment model, we can best assist partners in their business development,” Haak said of the collaboration.

“Support for MSP and cloud business”

“Through Lywand, we have expanded our sales portfolio with a fully-fledged MSP solution for cybersecurity audits. The automated vulnerability scans with resulting task packages enable completely new managed services offerings for our MSP partners – at minimal time and cost,” Sascha Odenthal, Sales Director MSP & Cloud at Infinigate Germany, comments on the partnership.

“Our goal is to holistically support IT partners in building and continuously developing their MSP & Cloud business. Together with Lywand, we especially want to enable partners in the price-sensitive SME segment to offer professional predictive security services. In this dynamic business area, the cooperation with the dedicated vendor team from Austria fits perfectly with our strategy.”

“Reduction of complexity”

“For partners, the start with Lywand is very easy: even without special prior knowledge, all end customers can be activated and analysed within a very short time. In addition to the monthly usage-based licensing, this makes this solution a very interesting product for our MSP partners, who are increasingly focusing on automation and complexity reduction,” adds Alexander Loos, Head of Business Unit MSSP at Infinigate Germany.

“The internal and external vulnerability detection as well as presentation makes it easy to comprehensively assess the IT environment of new end customers and to further optimize the security level of existing customers. Registering as a Lywand partner via the Infinigate MSP portal is just as easy as rolling out the solution,” Loos continues.
